FutureBridge Senior Analyst and speaker Edward Bergen sets out our vision for 2023 and beyond. He will call out examples of how innovators and disruptors would target issues impacting the futures of nutrition, food experiences, channels and access, and circular economy.
This webinar covers:
Part (1) NOW, NEXT, AND BEYOND – Innovating in turbulence
Edward will look at how consumer behavior changes during times of turbulence. He will refer to past successes and failures and show how innovation must continue.
In the 2009-11 recession innovation continued, and at pace. In fact, research shows that early-stage science eg. patent filings in the food industry grew rapidly in the following years. Brands and innovators invested in automation, convenience, and health. In 2024 and beyond we expect a similar bounce-back. Edward will look at disruptive techniques, such as molecular biology, and lab-grown innovation, and how digital techniques, ie. Smart packaging and nutrition tracking will help brands to meet consumer needs and planetary needs head-on.
Part (2) YOU – Innovating with experts (Q&A session)
After the webinar Edward will be joined by FutureBridge in-house experts and scientists who will discuss how brands can balance the need for future innovation, while still being able to pivot and refine during times of turbulence. The audience will also have an opportunity to question experts about their industry segments and needs.
